NERVOUS SYSTEM SUPPORT

ABOUT ROMY

I am Romy and I am a certified Sound Bath Presenter & Peter Hess Klangmassage (Sound Massage) Practitioner based in Melbourne. I facilitate Group Sound Baths and offer one on one Klangmassage. I provide an evidence based, therapeutic application of sound designed to calm the nervous system and help you manage stress. Integrity & science underpin my work, providing a modern application based on an ancient technique. I have been practicing since 2018 and am a qualified Level 1 Peter Hess Klangmassage teacher.

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH ?

Sound has been used as a calming tool for thousands of years.

A Sound Bath (or Sound Meditation) is when specific instruments are played in a particular way, for a group creating a deeply relaxing atmosphere that helps you enter your ‘rest & repair’ mode and reset your nervous system.

I follow the Peter Hess methodology presenting sound in a therapeutic way. The intention of my work is to nurture your nervous system providing you with the time and space to be still, present & calm allowing your brain waves to slow down and your parasympathetic nervous system to activate. (When the body and mind are at rest, self-healing may occur).

I offer regular weekly Sound Baths and private group Sound Baths at my studio in St Kilda East and at other special venues around Melbourne. I also facilitate Corporate Wellness sessions at a venue of your choice. Clients include Nike, Aveda, Mecca, The Immigration Museum, ARUP Engineers, Red Nose, Peter Mac Cancer Centre, Workday, Headspace, AGL Energy, The Northern Hospital Group, Qiagen Diagnostics, 7 Eleven and more.

WHAT IS KLANGMASSAGE ?

During a Klangmassage, Peter Hess® therapeutic singing bowls are carefully placed on your clothed body and gently played in a particular sequence.

The bowls have a vibro-acoustic effect which means you can feel the sound as well as hear it. The vibrations ripple through the bones, organs, tissue and fluids removing blockages and restoring the natural flow of energy and balance whilst the gentle sound waves harmonise with your brainwaves slowing them down. When your brainwaves slow down you can enter your parasympathetic state. This is when self-healing can occur.

The Peter Hess Klangmassage treatment combines evidence based medical and scientific research with ancient eastern philosophy. For more information visit the treatments section.

Precautions
Klangmassage uses sound and vibration to gently lead you into a deep state of relaxation. Instruments that vibrate are be placed upon the body or held in proximity to the body. As a precaution, Klangmassage is not recommended if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, a pace-maker, severe asthma, bi-polar or schizophrenia.

Everything in life is vibration
